I've done a bit of reading into this and have some personal experience with it myself, after looking into it there are certain places that come up quite often. The places mentioned on this thread are places that should be avoided by Asian men if they want to have any sort of dating success. Asian women in these places generally avoid Asian men and women of other races (white women in particular) hate the idea of going for Asian guys. In order for an Asian guy to have a lot of dating success in these areas, he needs to desperately hit it out of the ball park. All in all, these are places with a social atmosphere that makes it highly difficult for Asian men to have success in the dating game.

1. San Francisco and the Bay Area.
Asian women aggressively chasing after white men and white women who are strongly against going for Asian men (of any kind), I cannot think of any area in the entire country that is worse for Asian guys. I have stayed in San Francisco before and the women there were very mediocre, it has a reputation of having the least attractive women in California but that doesn't stop the women there from having unrealistic standards. I have talked to a few Asian guys in the San Francisco and Bay Area who have a lot going for them but have little to no success in the dating game. White women in Northern California are also selectively racist from my experience, they'll sleep with a black guy to show how they are not racist at all yet avoid a higher SMV Asian guy because it does not help their 'see I am not a racist' agenda.
I strongly believe that there is an effort being made by the progressive SJW crowd in the city to ensure that Asian guys remain loveless incels. San Francisco is also one of the few cities in the USA where I have seen people openly say Asian men and Indian men are low value and most of the Asian and Indian men I have met from this area are strongly convinced that being their race is a death sentence in the dating game in the western world. The culture and social atmosphere of San Francisco and Northern California in general beats down Asian men of all kinds, it has specifically singled them out. The few that do have success are harassed for it by the self-proclaimed liberals in the city.
2. Toronto.
Mostly the same as San Francisco with the liberal and SJW crowd but I have found that in Toronto, the racism is more focused towards South Asian males as opposed to East Asian men. Once again, the powerful disparity between WMAF couple vs. AMWF couples exists. One of my friends is Indian and from Toronto, he said that an Indian guy with a cute white girl would cause a lot of issues in the city from both the Indian and especially the white side. This is the same city where PUA originated and the women have a reputation of being much more shallow than anywhere else in Canada. I have heard a lot of open racism and disgust towards South Asians, maybe East Asian guys can do well here.
3. Vancouver.
Same as Toronto and San Francisco, lots of self-hating Asian girls along with a large number of white girls that absolutely despise Asian men. Just like with Toronto though, I believe that a lot of the racism and disgust is targeted towards South Asian makes as opposed to East Asian males. I think that an East Asian guy might be able to do well in Vancouver if he has a higher SMV but South Asian men seem to get a ton of hate, this seems to be a Canadian thing too. Here in the USA I feel that South Asian men have a higher ceiling than East Asian men do, especially if the South Asian guy has some Caucasian features but in Canada it seems like the reverse is true.
4. The Mid-Atlantic Northeast outside of the major cities.
NYC and maybe Boston and Phili might be great for a higher SMV Asian guy but from my experience, everywhere else in the Northeast sucks. Not going to talk about New England as I haven't really stayed there but elsewhere in the Northeast there is this disdain towards people of foreign minority groups, especially from women. If you are not a white or black guy, your options are very limited in this area of the USA and white women from here usually hold the strongest prejudice from my own experience. A lot of the online dating studies about racial preferences are done in the northeast and the responses are from women that live there, notice how Asian men get the worst responses on most of these studies?
Major trend to notice
Those are all the areas in North America I can think of that are horrible for Asian men when it comes to doing well in the dating game, by horrible I mean much worse than your average area and areas in which even top 20% Asian guys will struggle a lot. In these areas, there seem to be one major trend to notice: white males with Asian females are extremely common while the other way around is almost unheard of. I think that this is mostly due to white women in these places holding strong prejudice towards Asian men. Toronto and Vancouver might actually be decent for East Asian guys but I think those are the worst places in the planet for South Asian men.
Feel free to add more areas to the list or criticize the areas that are already on the list. I want to know more about Southern California though since I keep hearing mixed things about the place.

For dating opportunities, the company examined the number of singles, the gender balance, and the number of people who are open to dating in the area. In the dating economics category, WalletHub researched how much it costs to go on a date, including beer, movie, and haircut prices. They even looked at the level of income. Lastly, the company counted the number of restaurants, movie theatres, and parks in each state for the romance/fun category.
When WalletHub added these numbers up, they found which states are the worst for singles looking for love.
